Job summary

Elite Fire Services in Ohio is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician Apprentice to learn the trade on real projects with hands-on coaching.

We will train you to become a licensed, certified Fire Alarm Technician while you gain experience in inspection, testing, maintenance, and installation of fire alarm systems.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with 3 or fewer points required.
• Three years of licensed driving experience required.
• Experience using a variety of hand tools.
• Willing to work varied hours, nights, early mornings and weekends as needed.
• Capable and willing to learn about different alarm systems and pass tests to become certified.
• Comfortable on ladders 6–12 ft and on lifts.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Able to work overhead and in small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
• Good communication and detailed write-ups for service work.
• Well organized and able to track service tickets and documents.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform tasks toward becoming a licensed Fire Alarm Technician.
• Assist with inspections, testing, maintenance and installation of fire alarm systems.

About the Opportunity

Elite Fire Services is currently hiring a Technician Apprentice for the Fire Alarm division. This is a great opportunity to learn a growing and in demand trade. We will train you to become a licensed, certified Fire Alarm Technician.

We are looking for hard working and hands‑on individuals that want to learn a new trade in the fire protection industry. The fire protection industry is in high demand and it can be a long term career that with training, certification and years of quality hard work.

Compensation

• This is an Hourly position and the pay rate is contingent experience and background. It will be discussed during the interview process.
• Potential Quarterly Bonuses
• All hours worked between 6 pm and 5 am, paid at the time and half rate for every day of the week

• Skills to communicate well with customers and explain the work being done and any repairs that are necessary.
• Skills to write well and be very detailed in your write up on service work.
• Must be well organized and be able to keep track of service tickets and process all required documents for each service performed.
