Allstate Sprinkler LLC in the Bronx, NY is hiring a Fire Alarm Technician Apprentice. You will learn to install, service, and certify fire alarm systems while gaining hands-on experience under supervision.

The role offers an hourly wage with potential bonuses, and opportunities for training, certification, and a long-term career in fire protection. Must be able to work varied hours and lift up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with 3 or fewer points.
• Three years of licensed driving experience.
• Experience using a variety of hand tools.
• Willing to work varying hours, nights, early mornings and weekends as needed.
• Comfort learning and studying different alarm systems to become certified.
• Able to climb ladders (6–12 ft) and lifts and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Strong written and oral communication; keep detailed service tickets and write-ups.

Responsibilities

• Learn and train to become a licensed Fire Alarm Technician.
• Assist in installation, testing and servicing fire alarm systems.
• Record detailed service tickets and write clear documentation for each job.
• Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.

About the Opportunity

AllState Sprinkler is currently hiring Apprentice for the Fire Alarm division. This is a great opportunity to learn a growing and in demand trade. We will train you to become a licensed, certified Fire Alarm Technician.

We are looking for hard working and hands-on individuals that want to learn a new trade in the fire protection industry. The fire protection industry is in high demand and it can be a long term career that with training, certification and years of quality hard work.

Compensation

• This is an Hourly position and the pay rate is contingent experience and background. It will be discussed during the interview process.
• Potential Quarterly Bonuses

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license with 3 or less points is required.

• Experience using a variety of hand tools.
• Willing to work varied hours, nights, early morning and weekend shift when needed.
• Capable and willing to learn and study about the different alarm systems in order to pass tests and become certified.
• Must be comfortable working on ladders 6 to 12ft and on lifts.
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs
• Ability to work overhead and in unusual or small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces
• Skills to communicate well with customers and explain the work being done and any repairs that are necessary.
• Skills to write well and be very detailed in your write up on service work.
• Must be well organized and be able to keep track of service tickets and process all required documents for each service performed.
