Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions, LLC seeks a Fire Alarm System Mechanic to inspect, test, maintain, and repair installed fire alarm and suppression systems in accordance with NFPA standards. The role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD, with a rate of $45.98 per hour and full-time hours.

Applicants need at least two years of relevant experience and must obtain NICET I within twelve months and NICET II within 18 months of hire. Strong documentation and coordination with subcontractors are essential.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience actively working on fire alarm and suppression systems.
• Ability to obtain NICET I in Fire Alarm Systems within twelve months of hire date.
• Ability to obtain NICET II in Fire Alarm Systems within 18 months of hire date.
• Experience installing, troubleshooting and repairing fire alarm systems and equipment including addressable systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and structures by performing fire alarm duties.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades as required.
• Inspect and test fire alarm detection and suppression systems per NFPA and manufacturer specs.
• Complete NFPA forms for testing and inspections with accurate documentation.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in preventive maintenance as needed.
