Job description

Rich Fire Protection has been a leader in the fire protection industry for more than 30 years. The reputation of our firm is well regarded and recognized throughout the construction industry. Located in Pleasantville, New Jersey and servicing clients throughout the immediate tri-state area, we are passionate about our work and commitment to excellence. We are experienced in all areas of the fire protection field including 3D design, fabrication, installation of fire sprinkler systems, maintenance and repair and project management.

Due to continued growth, we are actively seeking qualified applicants for an openFire Alarm Technicianposition in ourPleasantville, NJoffice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests of fire alarms.
  • Available for on-call duty
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with alarm systems.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national fire codes and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed service reports.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address their needs and concerns.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete project requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, components, and installation techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Licenses or Certifications:

  • Low Voltage License (if applicable)
  • Valid Driver's License as there is daily travel between customer job sites

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Depending on the customer site, noise level could be quiet (as in a library or public office) or moderate (as in a business office with computers and light traffic)
  • Ability to withstand heights and climb ladders comfortably.

Starting Pay Rate: $45 – $55 per hour
