Position Summary: Anistar is seeking experienced Fire Alarm Technicians for several contract-to-perm opportunities. Candidates will assist with the installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting of low voltage fire alarm systems. We seek individuals attentive to detail and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will work under general supervision, maintaining a highly analytical and problem-solving mindset, and work well as part of a team. Must have experience with the following:

Must have 5+ years of experience with full lifecycle installation of various fire alarm devices and systems in the fire safety industry. Experience in retail environments is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, repair, or upgrade fire alarm systems and program control panels according to building plans and electrical layouts.
2. Mount sensors at appropriate locations, including tasks like drilling holes and accessing crawlspaces or attics.
3. Ensure all work complies with current codes and regulations.
4. Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling through concrete walls and conduit work.
5. Complete wiring, connections, and equipment installations in compliance with electrical and fire codes.
6. Test newly installed fire alarm systems and components to ensure operational status.
7. Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure proper functioning and compliance with local, state, and federal codes, as well as legal and insurance requirements.

Must possess:

• A valid driver’s license
• A High School Diploma or equivalent (Vocational/Technical/Business School preferred)
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to travel up to 2 weeks at a time
• FASA/BASA certification
