Qualifications

  • Knowledge of fire codes and regulations required.

Fire Equipment Inc. is currently seeking a Licensed Fire Alarm Technician. This position requires the ability to service, inspect and repair fire alarm systems for established customers on a scheduled basis. Job duties include conducting service calls, systems testing and inspections to the prescribed standards, performing on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs, identifying code issues and non-conformance issues, and preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports.

Duties & Responsibilities .

  • Perform on-site service, inspect and repair fire alarms for established customers on a scheduled basis.
  • Conduct service calls, systems testing and inspections to the prescribed standards.
  • Perform on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Identify code issues and non-conformance issues.
  • Prepare accurate, timely and detailed service tickets and reports.
  • Present a professional appearance and conduct while interacting with and providing solutions to customers.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid MA Class D Low Voltage License. MA Electrician license preferred. Also having a RI or CT Fire Alarm License preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable fire codes and regulations
  • Ability to be available on-call when scheduled

Education and Certification Requirements

  • MA Fire Alarm License or Electrician License
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
