Job summary

RapidFire Safety & Security is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician in Texas with a valid Texas FAL license to join our team. This role requires strong planning, organization and the ability to direct service installations.

Responsibilities include full-service troubleshooting, wiring and programming fire and security systems, and coordinating with the office on service orders. A clean driving record and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years installation and experience wiring, installing and programming security systems and fire systems.
• Familiarity with alarm control panels including DSC, NAPCO, DMP, GE and others.
• Familiarity with fire panels including Honeywell, Potter, Hochiki and others.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and Texas FAL.
• Ability to work without supervision and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-service troubleshooting and repair of systems in a professional manner.
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
• Coordinate with office for service and work orders.
• Diagnose problems to identify equipment and system repairs.
• Request equipment to maintain inventory for service needs.
• Respond to emergency situations after hours to resolve safety concerns.
• Perform state-licensed fire alarm inspections.
• Provide excellent service to customers.

Job Summary

RapidFire Safety & Security looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician with a Texas Fire Alarm and Security Installer license to join our team. Must be self-motivated and able to plan, organize and direct the completion of service /installations.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-service troubleshooting and repair of systems in an efficient and professional manner – this includes knowing how to find an answer if you don’t know it!
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, material used, and the nature of any problem encountered or identified with the system
• Coordinate with office manager/dispatcher for the purpose of completing service and work orders efficiently.
• Diagnoses cause problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair.
• Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of equipment required to complete service.
• Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
• Perform state licensed fire alarm inspections
• Provide excellent service

Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and Texas FAL
• MUST have a MINIMUM of 2 years installation and experience in wiring, installing and programming security systems, fire systems and CCTV systems.
• Familiarity with various alarm control panels including DSC, NAPCO, DMP, GE, and others
• Familiarity with fire panels including Honeywell, Potter, Hochiki and others
• Must be able to work without supervision
• Be able to lift tools and equipment up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, pull wire, etc.
• Strong attention to detail
• All applicants must have a CLEAN driving record, excellent attendance record and be willing to submit to a drug test / background check
