Job summary

RapidFire Safety & Security in Texas is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician with a Texas Fire Alarm and Security Installer license to join our team. You will plan, organize and direct the completion of service installations while ensuring safety and compliance.

Required are a minimum of 2 years installation experience in wiring, installing and programming fire, CCTV and security systems, along with familiarity with DSC, NAPCO and other panels.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years installation experience in wiring, installing and programming fire, CCTV and security systems.
  • Must hold Texas Fire Alarm and Security Installer license or equivalent.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and handle after-hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full-service troubleshooting and repair of fire alarm, security, and CCTV systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used and issues identified.
  • Coordinate with dispatcher to complete service and install work orders efficiently.
  • Diagnose causes of system failures and identify necessary repairs.
  • Submit to drug test and background check as required.

Job Summary

RapidFire Safety & Security looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician with a Texas Fire Alarm and Security Installer license to join our team. Must be self-motivated and able to plan, organize and direct the completion of service /installations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide full-service troubleshooting and repair of systems in an efficient and professional manner – this includes knowing how to find an answer if you don’t know it!
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, material used, and the nature of any problem encountered or identified with the system
  • Coordinate with office manager/dispatcher for the purpose of completing service and work orders efficiently.
  • Diagnoses cause problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair.
  • Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of equipment required to complete service.
  • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
  • Perform state licensed fire alarm inspections
  • Provide excellent service
Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and Texas FAL
  • MUST have a MINIMUM of 2 years installation and experience in wiring, installing and programming security systems, fire systems and CCTV systems.
  • Familiarity with various alarm control panels including DSC, NAPCO, DMP, GE, and others
  • Familiarity with fire panels including Honeywell, Potter, Hochiki and others
  • Must be able to work without supervision
  • Be able to lift tools and equipment up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, pull wire, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • All applicants must have a CLEAN driving record, excellent attendance record and be willing to submit to a drug test / background check
