We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Commercial Fire Alarm Technician to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. This role will involve working with cutting-edge fire alarm systems, ensuring the safety and security of our commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in fire alarm systems, including experience with notifier, inspections, est3, and Silent Knight, and will be NICET certified. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your technical skills and expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial fire alarm systems, ensuring they are in optimal working condition at all times.
• Conduct regular inspections and tests of fire alarm systems to verify their functionality and compliance with safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to fire alarm systems, including hardware and software problems.
• Work closely with the engineering team to design and implement effective fire alarm solutions for our commercial clients.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients, helping them understand and operate their fire alarm systems effectively.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest fire alarm technologies and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to your work.
• Respond to emergency call-outs, providing fast and efficient repair services to minimize downtime.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on the status of fire alarm systems, including any issues identified and actions taken.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Fire Alarm Technician or in a similar role in the Engineering industry.
• Proficiency in working with fire alarm systems, including notifier, inspections, est3, and Silent Knight.
• NICET certification is a must.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex fire alarm systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical clients.
• A strong understanding of safety standards and regulations related to fire alarm systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency situations effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good physical fitness, as this role may involve heavy lifting and working at heights.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record, as this role may involve travel to client sites.
