Ahern, a leading mechanical and fire protection contractor based in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Fire Systems Technician - Service (Fire Alarm Technician) to inspect, service, and commission existing systems in our Chicago area projects. You will work under a Superintendent, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inspection and service experience.
• NICET Certification Level II or higher preferred.
• VESDA Certification a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and commission existing fire alarm and special hazards systems on site.
• Provide top-notch customer service during daily interactions.
• Follow safety standards, design, budget, and schedule parameters.
