Job summary

Siemens Mobility is hiring a Fire Alarm Technician in San Antonio, TX. You will install, program, start-up, and commission fire alarm equipment, including detectors and field peripherals, acting as the face of Siemens with customers.

You will coordinate site activities, assist in training, and ensure compliance with local OSHA safety policies while delivering high quality service and documentation.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in installation/maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems.
• Must differentiate wire types/colors and use hand tools, laptop, email, and mobile devices.
• Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level II within 12 months.
• Must be 18+ with a valid driver's license and eligible for Siemens' fleet program.

• Support customer interaction and provide required documents for as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with site teams, schedule trades, and ensure safety compliance.

Our Fire AlarmSystemsTechnicians are responsible fortheinstallation, programming, start-up, and commissioning ofstate-of-the-artfire alarm equipment, including fire safety, mass notification, detectors, and field peripherals.Our Fire AlarmTechniciansare the face of Siemens,and yourexpertiseand regular interaction with the customer will help keep their buildings andoccupantssafe.

As aFire Alarm Technician, you will:

• Participate in Operational Testing, Verification, and Acceptance:run routine reports to review system operation, conduct final inspections and testing, and support customer acceptance and the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
• Assistin customer training on system operations and provide necessary plans and fire safety system documents for as-built drawings;identifycode and non-conformance issues and makerecommendations for system installation
• Conductprojectsitecommunication andcoordinationbysupportingscheduling trade contractors to coordinate start-up services and adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures

Basic Qualifications:

• 1+yearsofexperiencein the installation and/or maintenance of commercial Fire Alarm systems
• Must bewilling andable to differentiate types/colors of wire; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 poundsunassisted
• Musthave orobtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification LevelIIwithin 12 months
• Must be18years of age andpossessa valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements toparticipatein Siemens' fleet vehicle program
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associatedegree in electronics or related field
• 3+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems
• Ability to read/understand design and construction documents
