Job summary

Convergint Technologies, LLC is seeking a full-time Fire Alarm Technician to install, program, start-up, test, and commission fire alarm systems on assigned projects, including training customers and completing documentation. The role involves working with a dynamic team and growing with the company.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with fire alarm systems, a valid driver's license, NICET Level II, and a local/state electrical license where required.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to convey complex subject matter to a non-technical audience.
• Willing to learn technical skills related to fire alarm systems.
• Self-starter with ability to work with little supervision.
• Understanding of electronics including Ohm's law and relay logic.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude with hand and power tools.
• Experience programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning Edwards or equivalent fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services fire alarm and related life-safety systems.
• Interface with customers to maximize satisfaction and provide training.
• Interpret manuals and wiring diagrams and perform system commissioning.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to resolve issues and improve service.
• Travel locally to job sites with possible overnight stays.
