Job summary

Telgian is seeking a Signaling Systems Designer to review, analyze and design fire alarm systems using AutoCAD, coordinating with Senior Designers on complex projects and ensuring designs meet schedule constraints. Responsibilities include preparing submittal packages for AHJ submission, applying drawings from QC reviews, and making revisions to alarm designs, with travel optional.

There is opportunity for growth within the team, and occasional travel may be required to client sites or project

Qualifications

3 years CAD design experience in the Architectural, Construction or MEP trade required.
Prior experience in REVIT, preferred
NICET certification in Level I or II, preferred
2 years’ college or specialized training in Fire Protection or CAD Technical School; Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection, Engineering, or CAD, preferred.

Responsibilities

Design fire alarm systems using AutoCAD within the time constraints established by the task.
Review consulting documents, fire sprinkler drawings, survey documents and applying them to the fire alarm design.
Assemble drawing submittal packages for submittal to the AHJ.
Make changes to the fire alarm drawings from QC/peer reviews.
Other duties as assigned.
