Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Senior Fire Alarm System Designer to design and engineer fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA codes and project specs. This role leads design work, reviews drawings with the team, and ensures compliance with AHJ requirements and Sciens standards.

Proficiency with AutoCAD, NICET III certification, and strong NFPA 72 knowledge are required. You will collaborate with project managers and drafters to deliver accurate, timely designs while upholding

Qualifications

Five years of experience designing commercial fire detection systems.
NICET III-certified in Fire Alarm and/or Special Hazards.
Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and related codes.

Responsibilities

Design systems in accordance with NFPA codes and project specifications.
Review designs with the design team and drafters as requested by management.
Develop floor plans, riser diagrams, schematics, and control panel layouts using AutoCAD.
Review all designs before submission to ensure quality and code compliance.
Lead a team to complete design functions and support project managers.
