Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Field Technician in Springfield, MO to install, program, and service Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, interpret specs, and coordinate with trades to ensure timely installations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in low voltage systems, with strong customer service and safety discipline. Must be able to travel on-site and work flexible hours, including weekends, where required.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems.
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and test equipment, multi-meter usage, and commissioning devices.
• Able to obtain and retain licenses required by codes.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, configure, commission and service Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems at customer sites.
• Coordinate with project manager to resolve discrepancies and schedule constraints.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and specifications; coordinate with trades.
• Instruct and train customers on operation of equipment and systems.
• Maintain documentation and ensure OSHA/safety policy compliance.
• Possess strong customer service and teamwork skills.
