Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience servicing fire alarm systems in commercial/industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and fire alarm codes.
• NICET certifications strongly preferred.
• State fire alarm licensing preferred or ability to obtain.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems and components.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA codes and safety regulations.
• Respond to service calls and emergency repair requests promptly.
• Perform preventative maintenance including cleaning, calibration, and battery replacement.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, service documentation, and notes.
• Coordinate with service coordinators to optimize scheduling and job completion.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding system functionality and repairs.
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and industry best practices.
