Job description

Commercial Fire Protection is seeking experienced Fire Alarm Technicians. There's never been a more exciting time to join our team! We are in an accelerated growth phase in a rapidly expanding industry and are seeking motivated, self-driven individuals looking for a long-term career in the Seattle - Renton area.

Responsibilities include:

1. Servicing, inspecting, and testing fire alarm systems to prescribed standards
2. Performing on-site emergency troubleshooting
3. Programming and repairing fire alarm systems for our customers
4. Identifying code and non-conformance issues
5. Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
6. Installing fire alarm systems (as needed)

Skills/Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in low voltage electrical systems, including fire alarm systems
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and manuals
• Knowledge of test equipment, multimeters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices
• Physical ability to carry and move equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
• Ability to work in challenging positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lifts up to 40 feet, and working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings
• Flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer needs
• Strong customer service, organization skills, and positive attitude
• Maintaining truck inventory for timely customer response
• Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company standards
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check
• NICET Level 2 certification and Seattle FA-1 certification preferred
