Job summary

Convergint, a global service provider, seeks a full-time Fire Alarm Service Technician in Alexandria, LA. You will join a collaborative team dedicated to protecting lives and assets.

You'll service and program fire alarm systems, read blueprints and specs, test and commission installations, and ensure compliance with local and national codes. Local travel is required as projects vary by site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years as fire alarm service technician.
• Experience programming EST 3 or EST 4 fire alarm systems.
• NICET II certification preferred; associate degree acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing, programming and commissioning fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and specifications.
• Ensure work follows local and national codes and company safety policies.
• Collaborate with team to improve operations and customer service.
