Job summary

RapidFire Safety & Security is seeking a Fire Alarm and Security Technician to safely install, program, and maintain access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems. You will run wiring, install components, and ensure compliance with electrical codes and system manuals.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical skills in installation, repair and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Maxxess access control, Bosch security/video, DMP and Ubiquiti equipment.
• Knowledge of current electrical and system codes and regulations.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Background check and clean driving record required.
• Knowledge of basic electricity theory.

Responsibilities

• Install and service low voltage systems: access control, video, intrusion, fire alarm, and intercoms.
• Test and demonstrate systems to customers per specifications.
• Follow work orders, plans and installation manuals; determine material needs.
• Test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and security features.
• Inspect NFPA 72 compliant fire alarm systems.
• Maintain and protect company vehicle, tools and equipment.
