Job summary

Johnson Controls in West Columbia, SC is seeking a Fire Installer I to install, repair, and service conventional and addressable fire alarm, security, nurse call, intercom, and CCTV systems. You will read blueprints, operate test equipment, and work in varied environments with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and experience in fire alarm or integrated security systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Some experience in Fire Alarm or Integrated Security Systems maintenance.
• Electrical installation experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must pass background and drug tests; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, install, and program fire alarm, security, nurse call, intercom, CCTV systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, and manuals.
• Carry and move equipment up to 40 pounds; work on ladders and above-ceiling spaces.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to complete work safely and efficiently.
