Job summary

Convergint is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to install, program, test, and service fire alarm and life safety systems on site in Jacksonville, FL. You will perform startup, commissioning, and customer training while ensuring quality and safety across projects.

Qualifications include High School/GED or equivalent; NICET Level II and local/state electrical license preferred; EST4 certification a plus. You will collaborate with project teams and mentor peers as needed.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Electronics or related field preferred.
• Licenses/certifications: Local/State Electrical License; EST4 preferred.
• Willingness to coach and mentor colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair and service fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Perform startup, commissioning, and customer training on assigned projects.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine installation procedures.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and Engineering for project execution and quality.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
