Job summary

Eagle Fire Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial fire alarm projects from award to turnover.

You will coordinate with customers, design/engineering, and field operations to ensure seamless delivery and a strong customer experience. The role requires knowledge of NFPA 72, strong budgeting and scheduling skills, and the ability to manage subcontractors across multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years managing commercial fire alarm projects; industrial project experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of NFPA 72 and AHJ processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Proven track record managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractors on multiple concurrent projects.
  • NICET certification preferred; candidates actively pursuing certification will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work for assigned commercial and industrial fire alarm projects.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, manpower plans, and material procurement timelines.
  • Coordinate with design/engineering, purchasing, fabrication, and field teams to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Secure required permits, coordinate AHJ inspections, and manage submittal/approval processes.
  • Establish project budgets and cost forecasts at project kickoff.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work for assigned commercial and industrial fire alarm projects.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, manpower plans, and material procurement timelines.
  • Coordinate with design/engineering, purchasing, fabrication, and field teams to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Secure required permits, coordinate AHJ inspections, and manage submittal/approval processes.
  • Establish project budgets and cost forecasts at project kickoff
Project Execution & Field Oversight:
  • Manage all phases of commercial and industrial fire alarm system installations, including new installs, retrofits, and upgrades.
  • Ensure all work complies with NFPA codes, local AHJ requirements, and Eagle Fire quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve field issues, and verify installation quality.
  • Proactively identify and manage changes in scope, schedule impacts, and project risks; change orders as needed.
  • Serve as the escalation point for field-level technical or scheduling issues on assigned projects.
  • Manage all phases of commercial and industrial fire alarm system installations, including new installs, retrofits, and upgrades.
  • Ensure all work complies with NFPA codes, local AHJ requirements, and Eagle Fire quality standards.

Team Leadership & Subcontractor Management:
  • Direct and coordinate field technicians, installation supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors assigned to projects.
  • Partner with Installation Supervisors to align staffing, sequencing, and daily field priorities.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to field personnel throughout project execution.
  • Monitor labor utilization, material consumption, and overall project costs against budget.
  • Track project profitability and report variances to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Review and approve material requisitions, equipment needs, and subcontractor invoices.
  • Forecast labor and resource requirements across a portfolio of concurrent commercial and industrial projects.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience managing commercial fire alarm projects required; industrial project experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of NFPA 72 and other applicable codes, standards, and AHJ processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Proven track record managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractors on multiple concurrent projects.
  • NICET certification (Fire Alarm Systems) preferred; candidates actively pursuing certification will be considered.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with project management, scheduling, and documentation software.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
