Job summary

RapidFire Safety & Security is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager to oversee planning, execution, and completion of fire alarm installations and upgrades for mid-size commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of fire alarm codes and tenant improvements, and a proven track record of coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project execution.

This role requires strong project management skills and adherence to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing fire alarm system projects for mid-size commercial installations.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, IBC, IFC and local AHJ requirements.
• Excellent communication with clients and internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage fire alarm installation projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and specs.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 72, IBC, IFC and local jurisdiction requirements.
• Oversee integration of fire alarm systems with building controls and emergency systems.
• Collaborate with electricians, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders for successful project execution.
• Review plans and specifications to ensure accurate design and installation.
• Manage resources including labor, materials, and equipment to control costs.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, safety, and quality.
• Prepare schedules, budgets, change orders, and progress reports.
