Job summary

HCI Systems in San Diego is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Foreman to lead on-site installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems in commercial buildings. Journeyman level experience is required; CA blue card or journeyman graduate encouraged to apply.

You will supervise field teams, coordinate with the Project Manager, read blueprints, ensure safety and timely completion, and communicate progress to clients.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level installation & troubleshooting experience.
• Blue Card or Journeyman graduate encouraged to apply.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Regular, reliable attendance.
• Able to perform physical labor and work in challenging positions (up to 60 ft).

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation of fire life safety and other low voltage systems in medium/large commercial buildings.
• Coordinate project activities with trades and communicate with Project Manager.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, and manuals.
• Ensure project plans are executed, equipment delivered, and commissioning completed.
• Resolve field problems by researching alternatives and providing solutions.
• Interface with code officials for permits and address code issues.
