Job summary

City Fire & Safety, based in Gastonia, NC, is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Inspector / Service Technician. You will perform annual inspections, diagnose, repair, and program fire alarm panels to keep life-safety systems operating at peak performance.

This hands-on role requires现场-strong troubleshooting skills, physical capability, and a commitment to quality work. The position includes on-call rotation, some travel, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Fire alarm programming experience is required.
• 5+ years of experience in fire alarm installation, maintenance, or a related field.
• Ability to use a tablet for reporting and documentation.
• Valid drivers license.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on fire alarm systems to confirm they are operating efficiently.
• Find and fix shorts, ground faults, and wiring issues quickly and correctly.
• Install and program new and existing fire alarm systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve alarm, supervisory, and trouble conditions.
• Pull wire, install raceways, mount and program control panels.
• Identify risks to customers and provide effective solutions.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of service parts.
• Create and submit inspection reports and expense reports.
