Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring on-site installation support staff to assist with electronic system installations and testing. You will follow complex blueprints, move heavy equipment, and maintain safety while supporting start-up and final testing processes.

The role requires at least 1 year in fire alarm or security systems, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50–70 lbs. Drug screens and background checks are required, with potential shift variations to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Fire Alarm and/or Security System experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Follow verbal and written instructions, read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams and specifications used in installation activities.
• Construction experience required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Successful completion of drug screen and background check.
• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
• Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly

Responsibilities

• Assist the responsible person in installing electronic product lines and systems.
• Follow verbal and written instructions and blueprints.
• Carry and move equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
• Work in ladders, scaffolding, and high lifts up to 40 feet.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and complete required paperwork daily.
