Job summary

SciensBuilding Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to provide inspection and maintenance capabilities. This role works closely with our sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure our customers’ systems are inspected and maintained in a code-compliant manner.

This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of executing projects. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of inspector technician experience in fire detection, NICET I, and NFPA

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years as inspector/technician in fire detection.
• Knowledge of current fire alarm and suppression systems.
• NICET Level I.
• NFPA 72 and IFC code familiarity.
• Read technical drawings and specs.
• Physically able for lifting/climbing duties.
• OSHA safety standards; OSHA 10 certified.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with systems/service for testing.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarm systems.
• Prepare inspection and deficiency reports per NFPA.
• Deliver and test on schedule within budgets.
• Log and transmit inspection reports via devices.
• Oversee project inventory and vehicle inventory.
• Work under tight deadlines.
• Provide guidance to other inspectors.
• Manage scheduling/progress with emphasis on quality.
• Comply with Sciens safety standards and policies.
