Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an experienced inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, service, and maintenance on low voltage electrical and life safety systems in customer facilities in the Canton, MA area.

The role requires 3–4 years of relevant experience, a MASS Class D license, and NICET certification. You will work with low voltage wiring, complete service acknowledgements, and follow a structured inspection schedule while delivering quality results and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and /or Life Safety Systems.
• MASS Class D license
• Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
• Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain low voltage electrical or life safety systems.
• Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for operation of low voltage equipment.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices or hard copy.
• Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via laptop or mobile device.
• Provide technical training to less senior inspectors and trainees.
