Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking inspectors in Massachusetts to perform routine inspections, testing, service and preventive maintenance on life safety products including electrical, sprinkler, and security systems. You will work with low voltage wiring, document inspections, and adhere to a structured schedule while traveling as needed.

Required are burglar alarm experience, Mass. Low Voltage Class D license, and a HS diploma. NICET II certification is expected after two years.

Qualifications

• Documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and/or Security Systems experience required.
• Must have burglar alarm experience.
• Massachusetts Low Voltage Class D License required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of the Inspector Entrée Course (Electrical or Sprinkler).
• NICET Level II certification expected after 2 years on the job.

Responsibilities

• Inspectors conduct routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines.
• Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for operation of low voltage equipment.
• Complete Service Confirmations with proper coding via laptop or hard copy.
• Maintain a structured inspection schedule and archive documents electronically or on paper.
• Complete assigned inspections on time and perform other duties as assigned.
