Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to test and inspect fire alarm systems for a broad customer base. You will maintain thorough documentation and follow safety policies while performing physically demanding tasks across various environments.

The role requires a self-starter attitude, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with teams and customers. A valid driver’s license is needed, and NICET I must be obtained within one year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to perform physical labor.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork essential.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Obtain NICET I within 1 year of employment.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire alarm systems for existing and new customers.
• Maintain documentation of work performed using provided tools.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Move equipment and tools up to 70 lbs.
• Work in ladders, scaffolding, or high lift equipment as needed.
• Work alternate shifts or weekends to meet customer needs.
• Maintain a safe and professional work area.
