Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field technician to test and inspect fire alarm systems for our diverse customer base. You will maintain documentation and adhere to safety policies while supporting customers nationwide.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 70 lbs. Strong communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience testing and inspecting fire alarm equipment.
• Self-starter able to work with little supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and positive attitude.
• Physical ability to perform labor.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and smartphone use.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire alarm systems for customers.
• Maintain documentation of work performed.

• Carry and move equipment up to 70 lbs.
• Work in ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
• Adhere to verbal and written instructions.
