Job description

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven Fire Alarm Inspector to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will assist with the testing and inspection of fire-alarm systems in assigned buildings. You will help to identify and report any problems or deficiencies found in the systems you inspect. This is a customer-facing role, responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance on all assigned projects. As a Fire Alarm Inspector, you will be part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows.

What You’ll Do

• Test and inspect commercial fire-alarm systems within assigned buildings.
• Familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine testing procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complex specifications.
• Identify and report problems or discrepancies found in the systems you inspect.
• Perform all work in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations as well as company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with all inspections and testing.
• Monitor the fire-alarm panel.
• Interact with building owners or building engineers prior to, during, and following completion of the testing process.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

What You’ll Need

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid test and inspection skills and experience with fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.
• To be a self-starter and work well with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel locally to job sites on a regular basis; minimal overnight travel may be required.

Requirements:

Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 1-2 years relevant

• Fire Alarm Systems
• NFPA
