An established industry player is seeking skilled inspectors to ensure the safety and reliability of life safety systems. This role involves conducting inspections, servicing, and maintenance of electrical and suppression systems. What you will do
Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler, or Suppression life safety product lines, as well as similar products from other manufacturers. They work with low voltage wiring and related devices for low voltage equipment operation. Completing Service Acknowledgements with proper coding via communication devices such as laptops or hard copies is required. Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule. Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documents electronically. Complete inspections on time and perform other duties as assigned.
How you will do it
Some documented experience in low voltage electrical systems is preferred; training will be provided for new hires. Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, program schematics, and manuals is desirable; training will be provided. Familiarity with hand tools and multi-meters is also beneficial.
Demonstrates aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing minor repairs.
What we look for
Required
Five to ten years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and/or Life Safety Systems.
Ability to troubleshoot systems effectively.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Physical capability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing 50-70 lbs.
Willingness to work in challenging positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, working at heights up to 40 feet, within ducts, crawl spaces, or above ceilings.
Flexibility to work hours including weekends and travel overnight as required.
High level of customer service skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with others.
Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and quick learner.
Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards.
Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses per regulations.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of the Inspector Entry Course (Electrical or Sprinkler).
NICET Level II Certification is required.
Preferred
Experience with hand tools and multi-meters.
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and manuals.
