Century Fire Protection is seeking an entry-level Fire Alarm Technician Assistant to support installation, testing, inspection and maintenance of fire alarm systems. The role includes hands-on training, working at construction sites, and ensuring safety and code compliance.

The position emphasizes supporting skilled technicians, learning system wiring and installation tasks, and growing technical knowledge in life-safety systems within a Southeast-based, growth-oriented company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; basic mechanical or electrical aptitude; licensure/certification may be required later.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist fire alarm technicians with installation of fire alarm devices, wiring, conduit, and equipment.
• Support testing and inspection of fire alarm systems under supervision.
• Help identify and document deficiencies or issues discovered during service or inspections.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site per OSHA standards.
• Follow project instructions, drawings, and safety procedures.
• Assist with system troubleshooting as skills develop.
• Participate in required safety meetings and training.
