Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking a on-site Installation Supervisor in Augusta, GA to lead the installation, modification, and commissioning of fire alarm and life safety systems. You will supervise installers, read drawings, and ensure compliance with codes and approved plans.

You will train technicians, conduct system tests, and coordinate with customers to meet project schedules. Prior lead experience and NICET or similar certification are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 4–7 years of fire alarm installation experience; lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of fire alarm systems, components, and installation practices.
• Ability to read blueprints, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics.
• NICET or other fire alarm certifications preferred; experience with addressable systems (Notifier, Simplex, Edwards, Siemens, Honeywell, Bosch).

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation of fire alarm systems including addressable and conventional panels, initiating devices, notification appliances, power supplies, and wiring.
• Read, interpret, and execute work based on approved drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Perform device mounting, wire pulling, terminations, labeling, and system programming support as applicable.
• Conduct system testing, pre-testing, and commissioning activities prior to AHJ inspections.
• Troubleshoot system issues, verify device operation, and correct deficiencies.
• Supervise and direct installers on job sites; assign daily tasks and ensure productivity and quality.
• Train and mentor less experienced technicians in proper installation methods and code compliance; complete daily reports and material usage documentation.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces; ability to work at heights and on active construction sites; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; field-based role at commercial, industrial, and residential job sites, exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and construction environments; overtime or travel between job sites required.
