Job summary

Century Fire Protection Llc in Augusta, GA is seeking a field service technician responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems in compliance with NFPA standards and manufacturer specs.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot system deficiencies, document findings, and support customers and service teams. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfort working at heights are required; NICET certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• NICET Level II or III preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems and related components in accordance with NFPA standards, local codes, and manufacturer requirements.
• Conduct functional and visual testing of alarm panels, initiating devices, and notification appliances.
• Verify proper operation of fire alarm control panels, detectors, pull stations, and notification circuits.
• Document inspection findings, deficiencies, and recommendations accurately using company reporting systems.
• Identify and communicate system deficiencies or repair needs to customers and service teams.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
