Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking an On-Site Fire Alarm Technician in Ocala, FL to inspect, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair life safety systems. You will work in the field with up to 25% travel, ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and local codes, while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1–3 years’ experience, and knowledge of NFPA 72/NEC. NICET certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience servicing fire alarm or life safety systems preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and local fire codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA standards and applicable local codes.
• Diagnose system issues, identify malfunctions, and complete timely and accurate repairs.
• Program, configure, and verify fire alarm control panels and related devices.
• Complete detailed service reports, inspection documentation, and compliance forms.
• Maintain accurate records of system work, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding system status, required repairs, and code compliance.
