Power Design is seeking an Associate Fire Alarm Designer to join our St. Petersburg HQ. You will review layouts, interpret project requirements and code compliance for fire alarm systems, coordinating with project teams and customers.

This role requires 3+ years of fire alarm design experience, NICET certification, knowledge of IBC/IECC, and proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit, plus MS Office. You’ll thrive in a dynamic environment supporting bidding, design, permitting, and construction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with fire alarm system design.
• NICET certification preferred; knowledge of IBC/IECC and local codes.
• Bachelor’s in engineering or construction-related field preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD/Revit and MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
• Detail-oriented designer who collaborates with customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the best design solution by applying industry knowledge and quality standards while considering customer needs and budgeting requirements.
• Provide technical assistance for multiple projects during bidding, design, permitting, and construction.
• Provide design direction, support, and guidance to all team members.
• Communicate effectively with customers, project team members, and inspecting authorities.
