Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dedicated Fire Alarm Designer to join our national team. This permanent role focuses on creating and reviewing fire alarm design layouts, schematics, and drawings for commercial and industrial projects.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects, review blueprints, conduct site visits, and support installation teams while staying current with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire alarm system design for commercial and/or industrial scale projects.
• Proficiency in design layout, schematics, and drawing review.
• Proficiency using AutoCAD and other design software.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively with various team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Proven track record of successful fire alarm system design and implementation.
• CFPS or NICET Level III certification in Fire Alarm Systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure the fire alarm systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall design.
• Review and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and construction drawings.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire alarm system technologies, installation methods, and relevant codes and standards.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on the fire alarm system design progress.
