Job summary

Firetrol Protection Systems, a national leader in fire protection & life safety services, seeks a Fire Alarm Designer / CAD Drafter for our Houston, TX location.

Your role involves designing Fire Alarm systems and Access Control layouts in AutoCAD to meet code requirements, building submittals, and communicating technical details with sales, operations, and customers. Prior NFPA 72/101 experience and AutoCAD proficiency are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Fire alarm systems layout experience per NFPA 72 & 101.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2019 or newer.
• Fire Alarm systems experience preferred but not required.
• Notifier alarm system experience preferred but not required.
• Licensed Texas APS (Alarm Planning Superintendent) preferred but not required.
• Experience with Fire Suppression systems a plus.
• Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Communicate technical concepts to sales reps, operations team, and customers.
• Design and layout of Fire Alarm systems in AutoCAD per code requirements.
• Layout of Access Control systems in AutoCAD per code requirements.
• Build equipment submittals.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
