Johnson Controls is seeking a CAD Drafter to support the design department in developing drawings for fire alarm systems. You will translate project requirements into accurate CAD work and collaborate with designers to produce floorplans, details, and documentation.

The role emphasizes precision, timely delivery, and clear communication with internal customers. Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT/BIM is valued; NICET certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Skilled in AutoCAD, MS Office, and clear communication with internal customers.
• Experience with CAD drafting for fire alarm systems is a plus.
• NICET Fire Alarm Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide CAD drafting and design support for the design department.
• Prepare technical drawings and documentation for fire alarm system installations.
• Coordinate with designers to translate project requirements into CAD work.
• Prepare floorplans, diagrams, and related drawings.
• Support internal customers by addressing questions and requests.
• Communicate with team members to meet deadlines and project goals.
• Follow department processes and ensure accurate handoffs and documentation.
