Job summary

Impact Fire Services in Raleigh, NC is seeking a trainee to learn fire alarm system installation. You will assist with routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance under direct supervision.

This apprenticeship offers mentorship, training toward NICET certifications, and growth across fire sprinkler, alarm, and inspection lines. Full-time role with weekly pay and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or similar field with demonstrated electrical skills or related training is a plus.
• Ability to follow verbal work instructions/directions.
• Capable of working independently and completing duties with moderate supervision.
• Ability to work in a team under time pressure.
• Demonstrate initiative to learn trade skills.
• Ability to read labels, signage and directions with basic math.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Organized, positive and quick to learn.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company requirements.
• Capable of passing pre-employment background, MVR and drug test.
• Ability to obtain/retain licenses required by National, State and Local codes is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of fire alarm systems under direct supervision.
• Support diagnosis and evaluation of systems that require servicing and troubleshooting during inspections.
• May install and test fire alarm systems under the guidance of a Fire Alarm Technician.
