Job summary

Impact Fire Services, LLC is seeking a trainee to learn the mechanics of fire alarm system installation. The role assists with routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance under direct supervision and supports diagnosis and troubleshooting under guidance.

The position may involve installing and testing systems with close supervision from a Fire Alarm Technician. Ideal candidates read labels, adhere to safety guidelines, and demonstrate a client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or similar field with electrical skills or related training is a plus.
• Ability to follow verbal work instructions/directions.
• Capable of working independently and completing duties with moderate supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment under time pressure.
• Demonstrate initiative to learn skills of the trade.
• Ability to read labels, signage and directions along with basic math computation.
• Demonstrate strong customer service orientation.
• Strong organization skills, positive attitude, and ability to quickly learn.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• Ability to obtain and retain licenses required by codes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of fire alarm systems under supervision.
• Support diagnosis and evaluation of systems requiring servicing and troubleshooting during inspections.
• Install and test fire alarm systems under close guidance of a Fire Alarm Technician.
• Receive guidance on day-to-day tasks from a Fire Alarm Technician.
