Job description

What you will be responsible for:

• Set up and operate finning machines to wrap on or embed fin strip material on tubes to construct fin tubes by reading blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and finning methods and sequences.
• Mount pans and then align and secure pan in machine.
• Calculate and set machine controls in relationship to workpiece and regulate factors such as speed, feed, and coolant flow; start machine and observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions.
• Feed tubes into the machine and connect other tubes with tube connectors to continue the finning process; adjust machine feed and speed to fin tubes according to specifications.
• Verify dimensions of finned tubes for conformance to specifications using gauges, calipers, and ruler.
• Stop machine to change setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications; perform oil level checks and clean machine, tooling, and parts.
• Perform some machine maintenance.
• Mount finning strips rolls into fin strip machine using overhead crane.
• Maintain regular attendance, arrive punctually, work on‑site, and be available for overtime.
• Work cooperatively with others, treat respectfully the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
• Perform multiple tasks concurrently, work in a fast‑paced environment, and interchange with others in the department.
