RAE Corporation is seeking a Fin Press Operator to operate mechanical fin press machines used for aluminum and copper fins in heat transfer coils. You will perform routine maintenance and ensure production aligns with the coil schedule.
Responsibilities include reading engineering drawings, setting up machines, running production, and maintaining quality while following company policies and safety standards.
Fin Press Operators will operate mechanical fin press machines to form aluminum and copper fin used in heat transfer coils. The machine operator will be responsible for the regular maintenance of the machine and the production of fins according to the coil production schedule.

Education & Experience: A high school level of education is desired for this position in order to continue upward advancement in the company. The employee must be able to understand directions from superiors.
Skills: Effective communications skills, good listening skills ability to read and comprehend written instructions, basic mathematical skills, ability to control operations of equipment or system, monitoring/assessing performance of yourself, other individuals or organization to make improvements or take corrective action, good people skills in order to work in teams with others in the organization.

1 – Beginning level fin press operator meets minimal quality standards, needs more time to complete work than estimated for the job
2 – Proficient level fin press operator meets quality standards, able to complete work within estimated hours for the job
3 – Proficient level fin press operator meets quality standards, able to complete work in less time than estimated for the job
Reports to Coil Shop Supervisor. Must be able to accurately receive, understand and follow instructions from supervisor. It is essential that the employee be able to work with all employees of the RAE team and show a spirit of cooperation with others in the organization. To accomplish this teamwork, it is important that the employee be able to get along well with coworkers and be willing to ask and answer questions as needed.
Work is performed in an industrial production area where the employee is constantly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is high in some areas and hearing protection is required. Exposed to extreme temperatures in both winter and summer. Possible stress caused by the pressure of meeting deadlines, product quality standards, and seasonal increases in workload based on production demands.

Other Physical Requirements: Sustained use of eyesight for functions such as visual inspection, reading, measuring, and operating hand tools, along with the ability to see objects and detect motion at wide angles (peripheral vision) in order to maintain employee safety, feeling physical attributes such as size, shape or sharpness of an object, grasping or applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm, auditory capabilities in order to hear if your machine isn’t running properly.
