Amazon in Seattle is seeking a Software Engineer for the Worldwide Amazon Stores Finance Technology, Controllership Engineering. You will build services that enforce finance rules, automate controls, and deliver trusted answers through AI tools on cloud services.

You will own production services, design scalable data pipelines on AWS, and collaborate with finance, accounting, product, and data science partners to turn requirements into reliable systems.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional software development experience.
2+ years in design or architecture of new/existing systems.
Experience with at least one programming language.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Build services that check purchase requests against finance rules in near real time.
Automate financial controls and reviews to reduce manual data handling.
Build data pipelines on AWS to feed dashboards used in month-end close.
Develop AI agents and ML tooling for finance accuracy.
Own production services with tests, alarms, and on-call rotation.
Collaborate with finance, accounting, product, and data science partners.
