MarginEdge Co. is seeking a Software Development Manager to scale our payments platform and expand financial products for restaurants across the US and Canada. You will balance hands-on technical leadership with people management, mentoring engineers, and delivering secure software for thousands of clients.

The role emphasizes driving delivery, quality, and collaboration with product and design, while guiding architecture, security, and compliance in a cloud AWS environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in engineering management or tech lead roles.
• Proven track record of leading and growing engineering teams with focus on delivery, quality and culture.
• Experience building or operating payments/fintech systems (ACH, card issuing, virtual cards).

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery strategy for your team and serve as the primary facilitator between product, design, and engineering across payments products.
• Lead and develop your team by fostering a high-performance culture and coaching engineers on using AI to accelerate output while upholding quality and ownership.
• Ensure accountability for support and operations across payment systems with focus on reliability and customer feedback.
• Contribute to technical strategy and architectural decisions, balancing business needs, security, and development excellence.
