Plaid, a leading fintech infrastructure company, is seeking an Account Executive for This Week in Fintech to drive ad sales across newsletters, podcasts, events, and sponsored content. Based in New York City, you will build a robust book of business and partner with fintech and financial institutions.

You will open doors, pitch creative solutions, and cultivate long-term sponsorships with influential brands, while collaborating with content and operations teams to deliver compelling campaigns

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in advertising sales, media sales, or sponsorship sales.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Deep understanding of the media landscape and sponsorship best practices.
• Experience selling into fintechs or financial institutions preferred.
• HubSpot proficiency.

Responsibilities

• P&L ownership: Build and manage a complete sales pipeline from prospecting to closing and post-sale relationships.
• Strategic selling: Develop and present compelling advertising solutions and media packages to meet client objectives.
• Market expertise: Become an expert on audience data, media products and the competitive landscape.
• Collaboration: Work with content and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of campaigns and maximize sponsor value.
