Job summary

CommLoan is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, corporate insurance, and licensing functions. You will drive GAAP-compliant reporting, maintain internal controls, manage audits, and partner with executives to scale finance for growth.

The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced fintech environment, collaborating with Operations, Technology, Sales, Marketing, HR, and Leadership to support strategic decisions and expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Active CPA designation required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead all corporate accounting operations and ensure accurate monthly, quarterly and annual close.
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and consolidate reporting packages.
• Maintain general ledger, chart of accounts, and proper revenue recognition.
• Design and maintain internal controls; manage audits and tax filings.
• Oversee cash flow, treasury activities, and debt schedules.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and licensing/insurance programs.
• Drive process improvements and scalable finance operations.
