Job summary

SoLo Funds, a VC-backed fintech, seeks a Director of Compliance to design and manage the company-wide compliance program. You will work hands-on with Legal, Product, Engineering, Data, and Operations, and with bank partners to identify and mitigate risks.

You will lead risk assessments, update AML policies, manage disclosures, and oversee audits and regulatory exams. This role requires deep expertise in consumer protection and financial services compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in regulated financial services, consumer protection, fintech or audit/consulting in compliance/risk.
• Familiarity with consumer lending, payments, licensing or MSB.
• Expertise in AML/KYC, fraud, BSA rules and disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage our company-wide compliance program.
• Manage risk assessments and periodic reviews.
• Update policies and procedures including AML and disclosures.
• Lead third-party vendor/due diligence and bank-partner oversight.
• Maintain data room for due diligence with partners/investors.
• Review disclosures (Reg Z/TILA) and internal controls.
• Lead projects to enhance compliance policies and systems.
• Interpret regulations and advise business units on application.
• Coordinate responses to internal audits and regulatory exams.
• Prepare trainings and reporting packages for governance and board.
